QuizFox ("the app", "we", "our") is a trivia game developed by Paul Kerl. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information.
QuizFox includes an optional global leaderboard. When you complete a game, the following information is sent to our cloud database and displayed publicly on the leaderboard:
Display names are public within the app. Please do not use your real name, email address, or other personal information as your display name.
This data is hosted on Supabase (US-based servers). Supabase acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use your data for any other purpose. You can read Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
QuizFox uses TelemetryDeck to collect privacy-preserving analytics. TelemetryDeck does not collect personally identifiable information. Signals include events such as "session started" and "daily challenge completed". Each signal is hashed in a way that makes it impossible to trace back to an individual. You can read TelemetryDeck's privacy policy at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.
Local data (avatar, game progress) is used solely to power app features such as streak tracking and category mastery. Leaderboard data (display name, anonymous UUID, game stats) is used to display your ranking on the public global leaderboard. Anonymous analytics signals are used only to understand how features are used in aggregate so we can improve the app.
Most personal data is stored exclusively on your device. Leaderboard data (display name, anonymous UUID, and game stats) is stored on Supabase servers in the United States and is publicly visible on the in-app leaderboard. All data transmission is secured over HTTPS.
You can delete your leaderboard entry at any time from within the app: Settings → Privacy → Delete My Leaderboard Data. This immediately removes your score and display name from the public leaderboard and generates a new anonymous UUID, severing any link to your previous entry. Your local game progress is not affected.
To remove all locally stored app data, delete the app from your device.
QuizFox does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app does not require account registration. The leaderboard uses an anonymous UUID and a user-chosen display name; no contact information or device identifiers are collected. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted a display name to the leaderboard, please contact us at and we will remove it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
